About

Bookiddo is a blog of children’s book reviews. Each week, both Mom and Kiddo review a new book and tell you what they thought of it. Each book is rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Mom’s scale is bees, and Kiddo’s scale is butterflies. One bug is bad, but five bugs is great!

Who are we?

Kiddo is one and a half years old, and loves books with textures and bright colors.  Bonus points if there is singing involved! As Kiddo grows, she updates her book reviews to reflect her changing tastes and preferences–and lets you know her age with each update. Her current favorite book is Goodnight Moon.






Mom has a day job and an English degree. She loves children’s books with beautiful illustrations that are both interactive and subtly educational. (Overtly educational is good, too, but she really appreciates the delicate art of subtlety!) She also appreciates baby books that actually tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end.
